It is great to see that The Things We Thought We Knew, the debut novel by our 2014 winner, Mahsuda Snaith, has been selected as one of the 23 books featured in today’s high profile World Book Night extravaganza. Mahsuda’s brilliant writing will now find many more readers.
World Book Night is one of the UK’s biggest nationwide book events. Copies of the 23 selected books are given out across the country with a focus on reaching those who don’t regularly read, through organisations including prisons, libraries, colleges, hospitals, care homes and homeless shelters, as well as individuals running their own giveaway events within their communities.
Congratulations to Mahsuda on this great accolade, and we look forward to her second novel, How to Find Home, which will be published in May this year.
Mahsuda won the 2014 Bristol Short Story Prize with The Art of Flood Survival. The story is published in our 7th anthology. The other brilliant writers featured in the anthology include Danielle McLaughlin, Fiona Mitchell, Benjamin Myers and Tom Vowler.
