Bumper Year for Joanna Campbell

Joanna Campbell2015 is turning into a memorable year for Joanna Campbell.

Her debut novel, Tying Down the Lion, was published last month by Brick Lane Publishing. Yesterday the novel, tying downset in late sixties Berlin, was included in the longlist for the Guardian’s high profile Not the Booker prize. Congratulations to Joanna on this great accolade and we wish her the best of luck with the next stage of the prize.

Later this year Joanna’s short story collection, When Planets Slip Their Tracks, will be published by Ink Tears. when planetsThere is a really great interview with Joanna about her writing, short stories and her new collection on Ink Tears’ website, here. It provides a fascinating insight in to the craft and method of this wonderfully talented writer.

Joanna was shortlisted for the 2010 and 2013 Bristol Short Story Prize with her stories, Struthio Camelus and Wind and Water.
