Alys ConranWe have more exciting publication news to report.  Pigeon, Alys Conran’s debut novel, was published last month by Parthian. The Wales Arts PigeonReview calls it “heart wrenching” and “thoroughly engaging”.

It was simulataneously published in English and Welsh (translated by Sian Northey) and was the Welsh Book Council’s English-language Book of the Month for June. Alys, also, appeared at the world famous Hay Festival.

Big congratulations to Alys and we wish her continued success with her writing.

Alys won 2nd prize in the 2012 Bristol Short Story Prize. Her story, Lobster, is published in our 5th anthology.
